About
As a child, there was nothing that I enjoyed more than reading. So, when I became nearsighted as a teenager, I worried, "what if books get blurry next?" Soon though, I received my first pair of glasses, and I got to see the world in all its beauty. I got to see the little leaves on the trees, the blooming flowers, and the teachers' writing on the chalkboard. I was mesmerized. Ever since then, I felt that sight was something that is so precious, and so essential, that I wanted to do everything that I can to protect it.
I graduated as the Valedictorian of Cordova High. Then, I received a degree with Honors in Biological Sciences with Neurology, Physiology, and Behavior emphasis from UC Davis. I completed my doctorate degree at UC Berkeley School of Optometry in 2009.
Now I am in my sixteenth year of practice, and it is my great joy to help my patients see better. I detect early signs of diabetic damage, treat dry eye, and catch glaucoma before it steals sight. Besides glasses for clear distance and near vision, I also design vision correction for patients' specific occupations and hobbies. I gladly take on the challenge of complicated contact lens fittings. I take my time with every patient to make sure that I understand their concerns and visual needs, perfect their glasses prescription, ensure most comfortable contact lens fit, and most importantly, monitor their eye health. My goal is to protect and enhance sight, while providing care from the heart, because there is a beautiful world to see out there!
